Anna Paquin is a New Zealand-Canadian film, theatre, and television actress famous for her work in films like 'The Piano,' 'Fly Away Home', and "X-Men.' She entered the industry of film when she was when she was a kid artist on the film 'The Piano', in which she won the 'Academy Award' for 'Best actress in a Supporting Role aged 11. The fate had decided to make her an actress. Following her success in her debut film she was offered numerous roles, which she turned down to focus on the studies. But, when she reached 14 years old her return to the film industry by accepting roles in 'Jane Eyre' as well as 'Fly Away Home. Then, in 2000, she played the powerful mutant , 'Rogue who was a character in 'XMen' the first of the film series 'X-Men; this role catapulted her to worldwide fame. Her character was reprised as the character 'Rogue' on sequels including "X2" and "X-Men The Final Stand. The actress also had small screen appearances, notably as 'Elaine ' Goodale "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee in 'Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee', for which she received her first nomination for an Emmy. Within a short time was she receiving requests from TV producers to star in shows such as "True Blood" as well as "Flack."
