Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the late 1960s. In the 1950s she started her acting career on stage in Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. In the following years, she appeared in numerous Broadway productions before making it big on the national theatre arena with Li'lAbner's in the year 1957. In 1957, she released her debut music album entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise started her Hollywood career in 1958 when she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a dramatic film. It was an enormous success and Louise received her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York during that time, becoming Lee Strasberg's teacher. The year 1964 saw her win her second notable role, when CBS contracted her to play Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her acting career across Broadway as well as Hollywood acting in more dark characters as opposed to her image as a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and on the show as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she has also made an impact by being a successful and acclaimed director in various well-known television shows like Supernatural in addition to The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on August 28th 1965. Her family emigrated to Toronto when she was three and she continued to live there throughout growing up and in adolescence. Her home was in Vancouver after she was selected for the role of Samantha Carter.
